Pooh Snap
To Play Pooh Snap
Left mouse click on the Play button to take you to the playing
screen. Then left click on the Start Dealing button to start.
The game then generates the cards and deals them from the left
pile to the right. When a pair is displayed you should then click
on the SNAP button to call "Snap". This is shown by
a Red "Snap" logo on the right of the screen. Be quick,
the game will also call snap which is shown by a yellow "Snap"
logo on the left.
A pair is two cards the same e.g. two "Piglet's",
two "Winnie The Pooh and Honey Pot's", two "Winnie
The Pooh and Bee's" etc., but they must be the same picture
e.g. one "Winnie The Pooh and Honey Pot" and one "Winnie
The Pooh and Bees" does not count as a pair.
Clicking when there is no snap or after the
game displays it's snap, is penalised. Also you can draw with
the game and no score is added. If you are quick and call snap
before the game then the number of the cards dealt so far are
added to your score. You overall score is displayed at the bottom
of the screen. This is your score less the computer's, for however
many games you decide to play in one sitting. It is this score
which is used in the High Score Table. You can access the high
score table at anytime by clicking on it's button. If you have
a high score when you click on this button, you will be asked
for your name for the table, and it will be added.
There are 3 levels at which you can play this
game, indicated by the slider bar at the top of the play area.
Medium level is where the cards are not shown for as long as
Easy level and they get even faster in Tricky level. Trying these
levels is reflected in the points. Double points are given for
trying at Medium level and treble for Tricky. However, be warned,
the Computer also gets awarded the same level of points, even
penalties.
