To save A background to your Hard Drive, Right click and select "Save As"; Macintosh users, click and hold the button down.

Put all backgrounds in a PRE-determined folder to keep them organized. I do NOT recommend you select "Set as Background" or "Set as Desktop Item"

After saving the backgrounds you want, and deciding which one you want to use:

Mac users can select the background they want through the "Appearances" in the apple menu

IBM PC user , go to "Start", up to "Settings" and select the "Control Panel", then select the "Display" option. The desk top pasterns SHOULD show first. At the bottom right select the"Browse" button and show where you stored these backgrounds at. Select the background you would like to see. On the righrt side under the "Browse" is a "Display" window, Select "Stretch". This willmake the picture fit the window. If it is too small it will make it bigger, if it is too big it willmak it smaller to fit. At the Bottom click the "APPLY" button to be sure you have the background you want (if not, follow the directions above again till you get the correct one). When you are happy click the "OK" button. This makes you selection permanent.
